Taiwan and Japan Strengthen Bicycle Industry Ties Through MOU Signing
Since 2025, the Cycling and Health Tech Industry R&D Center (CHC) has actively engaged in exchanges with the Japan Bicycle Promotion Institute (JBPI), gradually laying the groundwork for cooperation. At the International Technical Symposium – Taiwan & Japan Practical Forum, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on September 17th, symbolizing the formal establishment of a collaborative partnership between Taiwan and Japan, a development of great importance for the Taiwanese bicycle industry’s international engagement.

Accelerating Global Connection: CHC and JBPI Hold the Taiwan-Japan Practical Forum
The Systems, Technology, and Innovation: Taiwan-Japan Practical Forum on Bicycle Standard was held successfully on September 17 in Taichung. The event was hosted by the Cycling and Health Tech Industry R&D Center (CHC), co-organized by the Japan Bicycle Promotion Institute (JBPI) and the partner Wheel Giant Inc. The forum was held under the Core Foundation of International Cooperation Project, and funded by the Department of Industrial Technology, Ministry of Economic Affairs (DoIT, MOEA), marking a significant milestone in cross-border collaboration between Taiwan and Japan's cycling industries.

CHC in Japan: Strengthens Ties with JCTA & JBTC
In May, the Cycling and Health Tech R&D Center (CHC) visited two major Japanese cycling organizations: the Japan Cycling Tourism Association (JCTA) and the Japan Bicycle Technical Center (JBTC), to strengthen its international connection.
CHC Vice President Alex Lee and R&D Supervisor Richard Xu met with JCTA in Osaka to discuss the development of cycling tourism. JCTA expressed interest in Taiwan’s experience and asked CHC to recommend local associations that promote bicycle tourism, signaling the start of closer cross-border cooperation.

CIIC Drives Regional Innovation and Industrial Upgrading in Chiayi and Yunlin Over 900 Enterprises Upgraded; NT$35 Billion in Economic Value Created
