Since 2025, the Cycling and Health Tech Industry R&D Center (CHC) has actively engaged in exchanges with the Japan Bicycle Promotion Institute (JBPI), gradually laying the groundwork for cooperation. At the International Technical Symposium – Taiwan & Japan Practical Forum, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on September 17th, symbolizing the formal establishment of a collaborative partnership between Taiwan and Japan, a development of great importance for the Taiwanese bicycle industry’s international engagement.

The Systems, Technology, and Innovation: Taiwan-Japan Practical Forum on Bicycle Standard was held successfully on September 17 in Taichung. The event was hosted by the Cycling and Health Tech Industry R&D Center (CHC), co-organized by the Japan Bicycle Promotion Institute (JBPI) and the partner Wheel Giant Inc. The forum was held under the Core Foundation of International Cooperation Project, and funded by the Department of Industrial Technology, Ministry of Economic Affairs (DoIT, MOEA), marking a significant milestone in cross-border collaboration between Taiwan and Japan's cycling industries.

The competition theme of the 26th IBDC is “Intelligence．Sustainability．Joyful Living.” With these three values, IBDC is looking for creative concepts and design works centered around cycling, that integrate intelligent technologies, sustainable considerations, and joyful everyday experiences.

CHC is excited to showcase its capabilities at Eurobike 2025, the world’s leading trade show for the cycling industry.

Numerous exhibitors will present their latest products and innovations at EUROBIKE 2025, highlighting the new advancements in the cycling industry. The Cycling and Health Tech Industry R&D Center (CHC) is showcasing its smart mobility with its latest research and development capability, with support from the Department of Industrial Technology, Ministry of Economic Affairs (DOIT, MOEA).

CHC warmly invites all visitors to EUROBIKE 2025, from June 25–29, at Hall 12.1, Booth A36.

In May, the Cycling and Health Tech R&D Center (CHC) visited two major Japanese cycling organizations: the Japan Cycling Tourism Association (JCTA) and the Japan Bicycle Technical Center (JBTC), to strengthen its international connection.
CHC Vice President Alex Lee and R&D Supervisor Richard Xu met with JCTA in Osaka to discuss the development of cycling tourism. JCTA expressed interest in Taiwan’s experience and asked CHC to recommend local associations that promote bicycle tourism, signaling the start of closer cross-border cooperation.

Chiayi Industry Innovation and Research Center (CIIC), under the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), held its "R&D Achievements Exhibition" today (April 22). Since its establishment in 2011, CIIC has supported more than 900 enterprises in advancing their technologies, generating nearly NT$35 billion in industrial value.

Supervised by the Department of Industrial Technology, Ministry of Economic Affairs (DOIT, MOEA) and organized by the Cycling & Health Tech Industry R&D Center (CHC), the International Bicycle Design Competition (IBDC) has reached its 25th edition.

The 2025 Taipei Cycle Show highlighted Taiwan's advancements in sustainable cycling under the theme "Green Forward," aligning with global environmental goals and the push for carbon reduction. This effort supports the Bicycling Alliance for Sustainability (BAS) and the Cycling & Health Tech Industry R&D Center (CHC), which is committed to achieving net-zero emissions.
