On December 22, 2022, the Inaugural Meeting of Bicycling Alliance for Sustainability (BAS) was held, declaring the establishment of the organization. At the meeting, Young Liu from Giant Group was elected by all the members as the Chairman of BAS, who will then be in charge of leading the members to achieve the organizational goals.

On November 23, 2022, several government officials from Tuvalu, Paraguay, and Saint Lucia who now participate in the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at NTHU IMBA visited CHC for the purpose of understanding more about the bicycle industry development in Taiwan, learning innovative and feasible solutions, and could bringing back the experience to their countries.

The “Bicycle Ergonomics Event” was held by the Cycling & Health Tech Industry R&D Center (CHC) on December 12-13, 2022 at Angel Life Pavilion, Taipei. People are welcome to experience the two innovative techniques, including the “Indoor Fitness Simulation Platform” and “AI Riding Optimization System”.

The climate change of the world has been getting severer in recent years. Currently, about 140 countries have announced their net zero emissions declaration, and the bicycle supply chain also requested their suppliers to support related work.

Patrick Pai, the Chairman of MARWI TAIWAN INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD., succeeded Alex Chen, the Chairman of Alex Global Technology Inc., as the 11th chairman of CHC. The handover ceremony took place on October 28, 2022, where a lot of people from the government, bicycle industry, academy, research institutes, and other organizations participated in the event.

Two smart E-bike achievements of CHC were showcased at the 2022 Taiwan Innotech Expo (TIE) Innovation Pilot area from 13~15 October 2022.

The “Bicycle IoT Techniques International Expert Symposium'' was held by CHC on September 28, 2022 at Howard Prince Hotel Taichung. Experts of this symposium includes Bryan Yeh, (GM at MPS ENERGY INC.), Jason Chen (Manager at CHC), Jeffrey Chang (Founder & CTO at MOOVO MOBILITY LTD.), René Ojeda (CEO at Sicrex Soluciones Tecnologicas S.A de C.V. "BENJI"), and Mo-Hua Yang, Ph.D. (Chairman of EnergyBus & Senior Expert for ExtraEnergy Consulting), which attracted about 60 representatives from various bicycle companies to attend the event.

The “IBDC Design Matching & Sharing Event” took place on August 12, 2022 for the first time. The event invited bicycle companies and IBDC designers to attend, by providing a platform for both sides to directly interact, IBDC hopes to increase opportunities for design project cooperation and cultivate design capacities for the industry.

Every year, the achievements presentation of the Technology Development Program (TDP)is held to share the CHC’s R&D achievements of that year. Founded in 1992, CHC was named “Taiwan Bicycle Industry R&D Center (TBIRDC)” and focused more on the bicycle industry. In reply to the development of related fields, CHC then expanded its businesses to fitness equipment and medical devices. In 2003, the name was changed to“Cycling & Health Tech Industry R&D Center (CHC)”.
