Inaugural Meeting of Bicycling Alliance for Sustainability (BAS)
On December 22, 2022, the Inaugural Meeting of Bicycling Alliance for Sustainability (BAS) was held, declaring the establishment of the organization. At the meeting, Young Liu from Giant Group was elected by all the members as the Chairman of BAS, who will then be in charge of leading the members to achieve the organizational goals.
The Bicycling Alliance for Sustainability (BAS) was founded to lead the bicycle industry to become a sustainable industry, and prioritize reducing the carbon emissions of bicycle consumption and production, making bicycles a real green product. Members of BAS consists of the companies form the bicycle industry, and CHC acts as the Bureau of Affairs to assist with the operational affairs and initiative promotion.

Members: 65 bicycle companies, including Giant Group, Merida Industry Co., Ltd., KMC Chain Industrial Co., Ltd., Cheng Shin Rubber Ind. Co., Ltd., Kenda Rubber Ind., Co., Ltd., Cycling & Health Tech Industry R&D Center, etc.
Bureau of Affairs: Cycling & Health Tech Industry R&D Center
Initiatives:
1. Reduce 3% of carbon emissions each year
2. Reduce 25% or 40 kg/ per bike of carbon emissions in 2030
Roles of CHC (Bureau of Affairs)
1. Encourage the establishment, assist the operational affairs, and promote the initiatives of BAS
2. Complete the zero-carbon-emission roadmap of bicycle industry
