EUROBIKE 2026, one of the world’s leading bicycle industry events, was held from June 24 to 27 at Messe Frankfurt, Germany. This year’s exhibition brought together 737 exhibitors from 43 countries, including 130 exhibitors from Taiwan.
With the support of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Cycling & Health Tech Industry R&D Center (CHC) led the Taiwan Bicycle Industry R&D Pavilion, focusing on two key themes: smart mobility and net-zero sustainability. Through this platform, CHC demonstrated Taiwan’s strong R&D capabilities, innovative technologies, and resilient bicycle supply chain.
During the exhibition, Deputy Minister Wen-Jo Chiang of the Ministry of Economic Affairs visited the CHC booth and recognized the center’s R&D achievements. CHC also accompanied the delegation in visiting several Taiwanese exhibitors, showing support for Taiwan’s bicycle industry in expanding international business opportunities.
At EUROBIKE 2026, CHC presented two major highlights. The first was an AI-based smart riding safety system, integrating visual perception and dynamic damping control for e-bikes. The second was the debut of CHC’s e-bike Battery Passport Platform, developed in response to the EU’s upcoming battery passport regulations.
Through these innovations, CHC highlighted Taiwan’s ability not only to manufacture high-quality bicycles, but also to support global brands in smart, safe, and low-carbon transformation. Looking ahead, CHC will continue to strengthen its R&D and testing capabilities in carbon management, battery passports, recycled materials, and AI smart mobility, helping Taiwan’s bicycle industry respond to global sustainability trends and international regulatory requirements.
