To deepen participants’ understanding of the bicycle industry and strengthen the connection between academic learning and industrial practice, the Cycling & Health Tech Industry R&D Center (CHC) organized an industry visit to AXMAN enterprise on June 11 for students participating in the 2026 Edge AI Practical Talent Development Program.
Centered on the theme of Edge AI, the program brings together students from diverse disciplines, including Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automatic Control Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Design, and Sports Technology, to collaborate on smart bicycle development projects. Beyond classroom instruction and hands-on project development, the program aims to provide students with direct exposure to industry operations, helping them understand how innovative concepts are transformed into market-ready products and how companies achieve global competitiveness through effective production management and quality assurance.
During the visit, AXMAN enterprise provided a comprehensive company introduction, guided tours of its testing laboratories, demonstrations of e-bike assembly and testing processes, and technical insights into smart e-bike technologies. Students gained valuable knowledge of the industry’s R&D, manufacturing, and quality verification practices while actively engaging in discussions on AI applications, automated production, future trends in smart mobility, and talent development needs.
Talent cultivation should extend beyond classrooms and laboratories. By connecting directly with industry, students can better understand market demands and emerging technological trends. Through this exchange, participants gained valuable insights into Taiwan’s strong manufacturing capabilities and innovative spirit within the cycling industry while exploring how AI, sensing technologies, data analytics, and intelligent control systems can be integrated into next-generation smart bicycle solutions.
