CHC in Japan: Strengthens Ties with JCTA & JBTC
In May, the Cycling and Health Tech R&D Center (CHC) visited two major Japanese cycling organizations: the Japan Cycling Tourism Association (JCTA) and the Japan Bicycle Technical Center (JBTC), to strengthen its international connection.
CHC Vice President Alex Lee and R&D Supervisor Richard Xu met with JCTA in Osaka to discuss the development of cycling tourism. JCTA expressed interest in Taiwan’s experience and asked CHC to recommend local associations that promote bicycle tourism, signaling the start of closer cross-border cooperation.
The CHC team also visited the Japan Bicycle Promotion Institute (JBPI) ’s Technical Center (JBTC), where both sides exchanged insights on current research topics. JBPI introduced its work on smart mobility and cycling technologies, while CHC shared its recent projects, including e-bike protocol development and innovations.
Through this visit, CHC looks forward to building on the partnerships and exploring future collaboration in research and technology.
