CHC Leading “the Bicycle Common Protocol Alliance”
In a significant move to improve the cycling industry, CHC has taken the lead in the Bicycle Common Protocol Alliance, which brings together 23 related bicycle manufacturers in Taiwan.
The alliance aims to support industry development by formulating relevant agreements and standards while fostering cooperation within the electric-assisted bicycle sector (including electric bicycles, handcycles, and electric tricycles). It will provide professional technical consultation and services to alliance members, share product development resources, and promote their growth and development.
To facilitate the development of the common protocol, CHC has established a regular meeting schedule for the task force. Moreover, it has recently launched a new initiative within the alliance: the Battery Task Force. This new task force focuses on coordinating efforts around battery technology and regulation. As electric bicycles (e-bikes) continue to gain popularity, the need for standardized battery systems becomes increasingly important.
As the bicycle industry continues to evolve, promoting the common protocol will undoubtedly play a crucial role in the cycling industry. CHC will continue to support the common protocol and collaborate with manufacturers on the development.
