The Department of Industrial Technology(DOIT) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs(MOEA) announced the research and development achievements related to southern Taiwan at the "2024 Meet Greater South - Asia Bay Innovation X Startups in the Greater South" event in Kaohsiung on August 23.

    Over the past three years, driven by twin transformations in digitalization and net-zero initiatives, the department's programs have facilitated an increase of nearly NT$32 billion in industrial investments in southern Taiwan, generating over NT$43 billion in production value.

    In the "Unveiling Technological Treasures" section, the department collaborated with research institutions such as the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), the Metal Industries Research & Development Centre, and the Cycling & Health Tech Industry R&D Center, along with startup teams from the TREE Project, to showcase a total of 30 innovative technological achievements. Industry professionals are invited to visit the exhibition at the North Hall of the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center.
